Why did Jesus not call the Apostles to be great preachers? But instead from fishermen to become mere fishers of men?

Jesus does not call us to trust in our ability. But to trust in Him.

Jesus foes not call us to be proud. But to take pride in following Him.

In the modern world, if I’m a developer, let me develop to get the human spirit closer to Him.

If I’m a designer, let me design His places of worship.

If I know how to sing, let me sing His name from the rooftops.

Let’s put our craft in His service.

And the air will smell blessed.
